  Robert Thomas is one of the founders of Rogers Townsend & Thomas. He concentrates his practice in civil jury trials, primarily in defense, insurance bad faith, civil litigation, civil dispute meditation, and appellate advocacy. Bob has appeared and represented clients in 104 completed appeals before the South Carolina Supreme Court, the South Carolina Court of Appeals, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.

Bob has spoken at seminars on numerous topics, including divorce, bankruptcy and appeals. He is a permanent member of the United States Judicial Conference for the Fourth Circuit. He is a Supreme Court certified mediator.

Bob’s experience includes two years as a law clerk to a United States District Judge, two years as an Adjunct Professor at the University of South Carolina School of Law, and several terms as a specially appointed County Court Judge.
