Since 1986, Sam Waters has focused his practice on residential foreclosures, bankruptcy, litigation, evictions and loan workouts. His previous legal experience was as counsel for the Department of Veterans Affairs, where he gained experience in governmental and regulatory law. His firm is South Carolina Retained Counsel for Fannie Mae and Designated Counsel for Freddie Mac.
Sam is a frequent speaker on mortgage default topics and serves or has served on the boards of the American Legal and Financial Network (AFN), the Mortgage Bankers of the Carolinas (MBAC), and the Committee on Actual Real Estate Solutions (CARES). He regularly contributes written materials on mortgage lending issues for trade publications and client training programs. He is a Colonel (retired), Judge Advocate Generals Corps, USAR. |
