Steve Moon is the South Carolina counsel for a number of healthcare entities. He focuses his practice in defending businesses and their insurers in lawsuits in state and Federal Courts. He represents many healthcare institutions, including hospitals, nursing homes, pharmacies, pharmaceutical companies and assisted living facilities in defense of claims against them involving their business activities and professional negligence.
While in law school Steve clerked at the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control and has maintained an interest in environmental issues. He recently has been involved in defending a mass tort law suit where the allegations consisted of injury by fly ash.
Steve recently served as the liaison counsel for several pharmacy companies in a pending class-action/mass tort lawsuit in South Carolina. Steve serves on the firm’s Construction and Products Liability Team, where he focuses on construction defects, collections, personal injury and general business issues. He also has significant experience in transportation and railroad issues. In addition, he is a former Chairman of the Lawyer-Physician Relationship Committee, as well as past Chairman of the Continuing Legal Education Committee of the South Carolina Bar. Steve is a certified mediator.
