We speak the language of the Construction Industry.
RTT understands the needs of our construction industry clients, whether the client is an owner, developer, subcontractor, general contractor, design professional, construction lender, surety, distributor or manufacturer. We represent construction industry clients in both the transactional aspects of their work (contracts, negotiations, evaluation) and the dispute-resolution aspects (arbitration, litigation, mediation).

RTT has long experience in the Construction Industry—we are fluent in the language of construction. From the 1980’s when the Myrtle Beach building boom began, trailed off, and then picked up again in the 1990’s, we were there. We were there when new materials and construction techniques arrived here from Europe, and we were there when hapless contractors and materials manufactures fell victim to over-extended real estate developers.

We have handled mechanic’s liens and bond claims going back decades. Several lawyers have been speakers and writers on mechanic’s liens and bond claims as that field of law has developed, including development through cases RTT lawyers have handled in the South Carolina appellate courts.

RTT is cost conscious for our clients. Our construction lawyers regularly call upon the firm’s other practice areas for support in areas affecting construction industry clients, including insurance and bonds, labor and employment law, negligence defense, real estate law, occupational safety and health, environmental counseling, federal, state and local regulatory matters, and bankruptcy law.
